I'm betting post on either side of the radio, not twin post on the same side. Donors, besides trucks, will be the cadillac's, Toronados, etc, out of the early-mid 80's. Check the tuning knob post length between the two, since the cars could be shorter.

The last few years of the K5's are the only ones that use the DIN and a half size radio and kit. The 1986 model like he has will have to be cut for a DIN sized radio...no kit available...and no direct fit radios. Break out the saw!

Might be able to get one (aftermarket direct fit) that is for a late 70's 'Vette, since the Corvettes used the same radio style as the truck that he has, as long as they weren't still on their side like the 60's vettes..not too familiar with the 70's vettes. Again, the tuning posts are the only things I'm not sure of that might make a car to truck swap not work. My dads truck with cadillac radio (81 truck basically) has problems with the knobs clearing the gauge bezel...works, but they rub.
