i have been through 3 gear boxes, and the 2 new ones have been worse than the one i replaced
does anyone know of a reliable rebuild brand.
a new one is $700, and i hate to think of spending that much for a gear box
what years are compatible with my 89?
maybe i could get a junkyard gear with low mile and newer year?
anyone else run into this with the gearboxes?

LMC sells them. I think they are under 300.00.

I ran my factory box until I swapped to crossover steering. All I ever did was put an input seal in it. Now I'm running the box off of a 72 C10. I added a cooler to the return line, put an input seal in the box and it's great. Go with junkyard parts. Remember..reuse is the best form of recycle.
