I need more room for my 37\'s

Doing a little testing out behind the ORD megaplex, and quickly coming to the conclusion that my current lift is not allowing the room I need for the 37's. On the passenger side under compression it stopping against the floor boards bad and was even rubbing on the drivers side rear (lip). It flexed OK, considering that it is pretty much a basic spring lift with no trick parts at all. I think I might go with a ORD 1" body lift and move the front axle forward 1" and flatten out the support ribs on the floor boards. I may go with 63" springs in the rear and new in the front as well some time, I still like the low center of gravity I have with the tall tires, nice and stable on the off-camber spots.

Here are a few pics with it twisted up a little.

By the way, my rear axle is back 1-3/4" using an ORD relocation add-a-leaf, looks about right, at first I thought it was a little far back, but I'm thinking it's all good. <img src="http://coloradok5.com/forums/images/icons/smile.gif">

Hey!! I have a 51/2"national spring lift with the front center bolts moved forward 1". I cut the fenders back flush with the inners and bumped on them a little (maybe another 1/4"?) welded them in real nice and I still make contact with the front edges with the wheel turned!!! but as I look at it , Iam confident that a 1" body lift will alleviate any clearance probs. Yours seem to be cut out farther than I was willing to go to fit my 37"ssr's but i think the 1" centerbolt move was a good choice !!!Later CC

How the hell did your tires ever end up moving that far forward? Maybe you just need shorter shackles before that axle comes completely out from under your truck!!!
