I was wondering if you guys can help me out.

Now that I'm on the road to recovery, for some reason I have this over whelming urge to get in contact with my parents.

I haven't seen or spoken to my mother in 24 years.

I haven't seen or spoken to my father in 6 years.

I have no ideal where they are, the only thing I Know is that, the last time I heard my mother was some where in Pennsylvania, and my father was some where in Nevada.

Right now, I don't think I want to talk to them in person, or over the phone, but i would like to write them a letter and just see what happens..

So how would I go about finding an address for them?
I don't have the money for a P.I. or anything like that..

    Any sugestions?

    Thanks

My wife spent maybe a year trying to find her biological father with no info other than his name and that he lived in WA 20 years ago, plus a few other useless details that her mom told her (truthfulness of which is doubtful). She tracked him down and spoke to him on New Years or Christmas eve 2003 (and he wasn't even in WA anymore).

The internet is immensely helpful for this. It can be done with crazy little info if you really want to do it... There's demo versions of people finder software that's amazingly accurate, too.

I have found that although you can do a fair amount of searching on the Internet, eventually you always wind up at a pay site for the more in depth stuff. In many states, a P.I. can pay a fee to access various databases including DMV, Criminal histories, credit histories, etc. Without access to these, finding a person can be tough. This is why there has been an explosion on the web of sites that will use their access to provide you information, for a fee.
