It seems like 4x4 prices and car prices in general are dropping in my area. I can't sell anything that I have for cash it seems. And tonight I had to go pick up the local classified ads and spotted these:

    '75 GMC 1-ton 4x4 Dually, Big Block, automatic, $1850

    '77 K5 Blazer 4x4, 350, 4spd, $695

'76 K5 Blazer 4x4, with "custom rims", complete, bad tranny, $500

'74 K5 Blazer 4x4, 4" lift, runs good, described as having an "$850 stereo system", $500

I wish I had money to go pick up a few deals, but with the local economy the way it is, I can't sell the rigs I have for sale now.

What are rigs going for in other parts of the country?

I hear that bud. Every now and then I pick one up and start making calls, then stop before I get in trouble...

Yeah, I was wondering about that...being a '75. But it has a picture of it and sure enough it's a dually 4x4. Only thing I can think of is its a mistake in the ad for the year, or someone did a conversion to it. I'm half tempted to go look at it and see what tranny and T-case are in it.

that 74 for $500 would be fun, if nothing else than just for a beater with a full top convert...

Well, now I feel better...I feel like I'm not missing out on the deals.

Upon closer inspection of the picture of the '75 GMC "4x4" Dually, I could barely make out that there were no locking hubs up front. So despite "4x4" written in the ad, I dont think it is (unless they consider it 4-wheel drive because it has 4 wheels in the rear).

And I called on the '74 Blazer with the $850 stereo system for $500, which turned out to be a '79 Blazer with a $500 stereo system for $850. (misprints in the ad).

So, I pretty much made this post for nothing. Sorry guys.
