So I was leaving home depot and this cop pulls in at one corner and totally cuts this light off, there was minor construction and a little traffic (id do it). Isn't that illegal? Then I went out the same way as he and coming over these railroad tracks he cuts off this car trying to speed around this slower truck. He changed lanes in the middle of the railroad track! I'm also guessing thats illegal. Did I mention he cut this car off.

maybe he was in a hurry you know like going to do his job serving or protecting some one what's the deal with you and cops. i wish you would have done something as stupid as attempt to pull over a police officer then you'd be in jail and i wouldn't be reading this. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

above all episodes that one sticks out in my head the most /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif

but about pulling over a cop. good f'ing luck! the best you could do is write down is car number and call it in just like anybody else. nothing will happen except you will probably find the cops paying A LOT more attention to you!

A buddy of mine pulled over a cop once, sort of. He was on the way to DMV to renew his reg. It had expired a few months back, he was paid up but was having trouble with smogging it. He also had one of the stickers that you put in the back window that give yu a few months of leeway to get problems with smog worked out. Anyway, on his way to the DMV, the day after his extension sticker expired, he got pulled over by a chick cop (I only mention that it was a chick because he also told me she was pretty cute). She tells him she pulled him over for expired tags, and he shows her all his paperwork and tells her that he's going to go get them RIGHT NOW. Well, she gives him a ticket anyway. It's just a fix-it ticket, but still a ticket. So he proceeds to the DMV and gets his tags. On the way home, he sees this same chick cop. So he pulled up alongside and motioned for her to pull over, which she did. He then got her to sign off on the fix-it ticket! I thought it was pretty funny. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

ive seen a state copy pull a city cop over in a nearby town. they city cops are known for flipping their lights on so they don't have to stop at a red light then turn them off when they get through the light. well a state cop seen him do it and pulled him over /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif
i though it was funny when i seen it.

I was thinking of talking to the cops in my town and suggesting a program of always using signals as an example to all the other stupid people *nudge nudge* *wink wink*

One time I was going to a seminar in St. Louis. Well, I got lost in East St. Louis, not the nicest part of town, at about 10:00 at night. I saw a cop go by, I pulled a Uie and flashed my lights at him. He pulled over, I pulled up and asked him how to get where I was going, and more specifically, how to get the hell out of East St. Louis. He said "boy, you ARE on the wrong side of town" and proceeded to give me an escort back to civilization. Nice cop, I sure appreciated it. But then again, I didnt pull him over to criticize his driving.

I like that some of the local cops sit in the parking lot of the local grocery store waiting for people to blow the stop sign or not use signals there, but everytime they leave they don't stop or use a signal /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif. WHen we used to hang out there we were in good with most of the cops so everytime they did it we'd all yell at them and the cop would smile and shrug his shoulders.

I want to become a cop so I can be "above the law" /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

When cops blow by me on the interstate I just speed up and follow them, they don't seem to mind allowing me to break the law as long as they are too. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

And then the call that they were hurrying to gets cancelled and their attention can turn to you.... /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif It is a common occurence for an officer to be enroute to a call and then either get cancelled by another unit, or reduce their response as the urgency of the call diminishes based upon a variety of factors. Oh, and by the way, most states have a provision in their vehicle code that states that officers can violate the vehicle code when enforcing a statute, or responding to a call. If an officer could never speed, they would be hard pressed to catch speeders. If they couldn't drive fast to a serious crime in progress where they didn't want to alert the perp that they were coming without lights and siren, then apprehension rates would be dismal. Jealousy is such an ugly emotion............ /forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

Doug - I can't speak for ugly_blazer (or anyone else for that matter) - but some of us are just razzin' ya. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif Nothing personal. There's way too much cop-bashing on this board and I'm not gonna play that game. You guys take too much crap on the job - you don't need it here. I completely understand why and how an officer needs to get somewhere quick, and traffic laws will be violated in doing so. So be it. That's what you get paid for. When I was in my 20's I got a speeding ticket driving a POS Buick that could barely DO the speed limit. The officer just got pulled off a burglary run. I was PO'd - but - I guess I was speeding. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

I'm just being sarcastic more than anything else. I wish that when cops were on their way to "emergencies" that they would at least use the flashing lights on their cars that I had to work my balls off for them to have instead of me being a mind reader, sorry - no Ms. Cleo here! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
