My first true love. 96 Chevy Impala SS. Black. I loved that car. I was in tenth grade in high school when they first came out in 94. It was dream of mine to own one from that very day. Almost 4 years ago I came across a nice used one. I sold my Z34, loaned the balance, and bought it. It was everything I dreamed of. I couldn't believe I finally had one and I would have never believed you if you told me I would one day sell it. The fact is though, I sold her so I can continue to upgrade the K5. That's right.... I am hardcore K5 material now. My wife was schocked that I would even consider parting with the Impala. I told her that if I need parts, she'd be next. I will truly miss that car.

What have you guys parted with for the sake of your Blazer?

my K5 has come along in my life at a bad time financially.. my daughter just started driving and is off to school in the fall... things are tight... ;)

lately i've taken to ebaying off some of my rare 70's skateboard decks.. they usually get $100 to $250 a piece..

i'm also strongly considering selling my Chevelle to finance 1 tons and suspension.. it hasn't been registered in 3 yrs and basically sits in the garage... :(

btw, your Impala was a breath of fresh air when it came out... :saweet: :waytogo:

I couldn't do that , made the mistake of getting rid of very restorable/upgradeable iron when younger . I am never getting rid of my Chevy's again ...... wife maybe , but not my Chevy's :ignore:

I'd sure consider it, but going on a word and a prayer is kind of iffy

Sold a well built 85 Bronco because I liked my Blazer better. But dont think I could part with my Mustang just to get parts for my k5. Its just too fast and too much fun to drive.. Besides its worth Wayyy more than my k5 will ever be worth. Prolly sell the Blazer before I sell my Mustang. 4x4s are a dime a dozen I can always find an old 4x4 to fix up. Hard to come by a rare classic or soon to be classic car without spending $$$$$$$$$$$$
