Nope. We rotate areas every two weeks and today was the last day of the current rotation. I'm going back downtown on Monday.

The rotation is probably the best part about this job. About the time the workers and/or the area starts to get on our nerves, we go somewhere else. It's really nice. Unfortunately, I'm ready to go back to hanging out with the night creatures, but at my job, the night shift does almost nothing and with day shift, it's the busiest so I'm staying with days until I find a new job.

    YES

    I figure $60k to start

Would have to comply with Nevada Laws

No Problem as you would have an assistant.

Only if you decide to do the Mile High CLub and the plane catches on fire.

    Of Course!

And Across The hwy.... Or head towards Mamoth via Benton Crossing or Bishop via Hwy 6. Nevada trout or Calif trout? Take your pick..... /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

This deal aint set yet but that's what I would shoot for... If this dream comes true maybe you might get interested... Don't start packing yet Bubba... LOL!

We really will need good security if it all comes down. And we aint gonna be cheap about security.... This place is out there as you know. We need good stuff...

I'd set up a camera system with plenty of lighting, nothing extravegant. Just something that would catch faces and vehicles if something was to happen.

I would also focus on response factor too since it would probably take NHP and the SO probably a good hour to respond unless they happened to be in the area.

Panic buttons in all the rooms.

Look into air evac in case of an accident. How far is the nearest medical facility? You would probably want someone who is well versed in emergency first aid. Since you are the knowledgable one, what are the chances of a jumper landing a very bad spot that may require rapelling or anything like that?

The type of guy that I would be looking for would probably be:

    Prior military
    Prior Law Enforcement
    Single
    Maybe somewhere around 35-50
Knows his way around a fight
Medical training, nothing too severe though
    Outdoorsy

I'm thinking that probably a sheriff's deputy somewhere would be a good fit for ya.

I agree with the cameras... Nearest big hospital would be Bishop. But they have an Air Ambulance also and we will have a runway and heliport. Would be good to make sure that who ever is security is also trained in EMT. NHP would drop by quite a bit I would think... Even if just for a free cup of coffee and a few donuts...

Not a lot of chance that a jumper would end up in the hills but I need to fix the badly damaged road that goes up there anyways... I already have a fire truck lined up. Just so happens that one of the partners owns one... The same guy also owns an REO Speedwagon. 1927 pickup type. How about that?

I'll be checking with you as the property deal comes together Bubba... We might be able to enhance the deal enough to get your wife to agree.

OH! Guess what I just found out from the state of NV. The NV state law says that you can't sell liqour on the same property where there is a bordello! However you can give liqour away to customers on site. Now isn't that a fine how do you do? Our lawyer is looking into the problem right now. Geeesh I can sell sex but I can't sell beer? /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Bowtie and Confed,,, If Bubba doesn't want the job when we are near opening I will be taking applications. Must be trained in security matters and hold a concealed weapon license or be able to get one. Also must be experienced at driving under heavy snow conditions. And you have to be able to hold your own when it comes to wrestling a perp to the ground.

Hmmm... I'm starting to think you're just making this up now.

    *Free Alcohol
    *Hookers
    *Impassible Roads into the Hills
    *Guns
*REO Speedwagon-Type Firetruck (I don't actually know what that is but it sounds cool as hail...)
    *Hand-to-Hand Combat
    *4x4ing in Bad Weather Conditions
    *Jumping from Airplanes
    *Playing Doctor
    *Miles and Miles from Civilization
*And You're PAYING Someone for all This???

I can be there in 3 days.

Nope... Not making it up. Security is a high priority out there in the sticks of NV. We are being funded in part by a federal grant to open up the airport. The rest of the money is coming from a small group of investors. There will also be a small casino on the property next to the Bordello. As of right now, the only two problems we are trying to overcome is the water source and the alcohol sales versus the bordello thing. And I have one sollution for that. The property is split into two detatched pieces. 20 acres along the road front and another 40 acres up towards the hills behind it. The land is seperated by National Forest land. The runway is on the National Forest land and we have permission to reactivate the conditional use permit for it. We also want to extend it from 3000 ft to 4000ft long in order to accomodate larger aircraft.

Here's a pic of the two properties and surrounding areas...

I'm thinking of puting the bordello up on the north 40 and the casino on the front 20. That may get us by the problem at hand. Anyways it's still in the planning stages and a lot of changes could be made in the process. You guys are always going to be welcome to come visit. I may even hold a few wheeling events there in the future...

Could be! Like I said it's still in the planning stages but once we close escrow (should be fast cuz it's a cash deal) the very first thing I need up there is security. And in the beginning, whoever is security is also going to have to help out with some of the work that has to be done on the property. You see, first we need something to secure.. LOL! The buildings that are on there now are devestated and have to be removed completely. Then we will begin building.

The free housing at first will consist of a mobile home. Later there will be housing on the property for employees. Commuting is possible but the nearest town, Benton, CA. is kind of a dumpy place to live. Living on the ranch would be much more pleasant.

I'll announce it here when the time comes. Bubba has first crack at it. Then if his wife still doesn't want to go, I'll post it here.
