I was playin in a mud pit at the Prarie City off road park today. I was kinda showin off my new welded diff doin the mud pit in 2 wheel drive. I could make it all the way through till I got to the little uphill part coming up out of the pit....Thats where I had to put it in 4 wheel drive to get up and over the hump. The first time it worked fine. The second time I had to kick the shifter to get it into 4 wheel drive, third time it wouldn't go in at all. It won't go into 4HI or 4LOW. 2HI and 2LOW work fine. Just not 4 wheel drive. Is this a linkage thing? Or should I start lookin for another t-case? NP203 by the way....... /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif /forums/images/icons/confused.gif

check the linkage first. I had the reverse happen to mine it wouldnt come out of low.
I crawled under and one of the linkage rods were gone and I had to shift it buy hand. if the linkage is ok then you might have a problim.

Kid does your 203 have a part time kit in it? I'm not sure that some of the cheap part time kits were that strong.

Maybe there is mud in the shifter not letting it function properly. When I got my K10(203) it wouldnt go into 4wd; I sprayed some WD40 down into the shifter and it loosened up and worked fine until the chain broke. /forums/images/icons/mad.gif

Hmm.....I'm sure hopin it's a linkage/shifter thing. I'm going to start investigating on Saturday. If it isn't the linkage, I can get another t-case free, I just don't want to change out the heavy bastard. /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

    Try adjusting the linkages.
