well i went wheeling today and within the first 10 min i somurged my hood, and i did some bad things. First the started is very slow now, also it cuts off at idle speed. Its was getting close to time for engine and tranny, but i wasnt hoping this soon. Does anybody know how much a new 700r4 runs now adays? Oh and by the way, i was suppose to go to tellico tom. That sucks!!!!!!

If you hydrolocked it, it wouldnt run at all. You probably just got the distributor or spark plug wire wet. My freind has a 93 Z71 and this happened to him once. We let it sit for an hour or so and it cranked up after a while.

A 700r4 rebuid is about $1500 - $2000. A GOOD 700r4 is $2500 - $3000. If you want a good solid tranny I wouldn't even bother with a standard rebuild. I had mine rebuilt less than 30k ago and the converter just blew and probly took the rest of the tranny with it. I'm looking into putting a nv4500 in its place.
