would be an MP5 in .22 Long Rifle. Full auto of course, with a detachable suppressor.

    Opinions?

Negatory methinks the minigun be morefun. That is as long as you arent paying for the ammo of course... 7000 rounds per minute can get PRETY ****ING EXPENSIVE prety damn quick. Of course I would ride that bitch like a cheap whore until the barrels melted down so I might be an annomoly...

Pretty much anything belt-fed and full-auto. And, like afroman said, as long as someone else is picking up the bill for ammo...

But I do agree - a full-auto MP5 in 22LR would be pretty fun. Point and squirt!

9mm is close enough to 22lr that I see no reason for the conversion... especially on a weapon that is shoulder-fired. :thumb: I've fired my fair share of full auto guns (M16a2, M249, 240G, M2, Mk19 etc)... but what I'd really like to do is hose something with a Thunder Chicken from a Huey. Prolly never happen, but I can dream!

Just wondering if any of you full auto nuts have ever been to the big machine gun shoot in Kentucky at the Knob Creek gun club? Susposed to be a big event. Machine gunners from all over the country show up and blaze away for 3 days. Sounds like fun.

For some reason, I have never really had any real love for full auto

I'd like to have a Marlin Lever .45-70 though, just for the sake of the big ass cartridges.

Someday, I will go to Knob Creek... and I will fire full-auto again.
I've watched some video of that shoot, including a segment on Mail Call. R. Lee Ermey was in his freakin' glory blasting away with a real BAR.

Hey - there's one I forgot... the original BAR! How the hell could I forget that?!?

I second the mp5... for a hand held gun.. I just loved firing the sd version .. made a neat tap tap tap sound... more mechanical than the supersonic bullet crack... you still knew a gun was going off but it was pretty quiet... good for taking aimed semi auto shots at street lights for dark approaches,, and nice during entries with mulitple subjects... so if one got zippered the others werent sure what and where the threat was comng from...

    I also like the m60...

    but for full on fun...

Well, I want a .22LR something or other in full-auto. 9mm is cheap, but ya can't get 550rds for $8.

Oh man, the local wildlife/shrubbery/recycling bins wouldn't stand a chance....:D

silenced guns only take care of the sound of the (rapidly) expanding gases caused by the powder burning.... if you use super-sonic ammo you'll still get all of the "supersonic bullet crack" with a "silenced" gun. This is why its a little comical in a movie when guys have silenced sniper rifles and pick a guy off at long range. Yes, there are silenced sniper rifles, but the effective range can't be all that far. You surely aren't going to pick a guy off at 500m with one. Of course, on TV all sniper happens at like 50' so I guess its all good! ;)
