...about the differences of the 10 bolt and D44 front axles.

To do this, I need to get the hard parts to take pictures of and show the differences, side by side.

I have the 10 bolt already. I need to find the "first" and "second" design D44's.

I would take pics of everything that makes the "first" different than the "second".

I will gather all the backing plates, spindles, hubs, tie rods, knuckles, calipers, etc. and do them side by side shots so everyone can use them as a "guide" to take with them for identifying purposes.

To start off, I need a pair of "first" design spindles. I have a pair of "second" design 10 bolt spindles to swap with anybody who has the "first". Any takers?

What does everyone think of this idea for a write-up?

    Wes,

If I'm not mistaken.....my '72 K5 has the "first design" spindles you seek....! [IMG]

As you know, I will be removing them before too much longer to put in some K20 parts [IMG]

If I've got my facts straight, let me know. I'd be happy to take LOTS of digital photos for whatever you need. It's the least I can do for all the FREE help I've gotten around here.

Wes that is an awesome idea about the write up. I'm sure you've seen posts where i have used your explanation of this quite often. I hope you don't mind that I use it? I give credit where credit is due. And I feel that it has been the best explanation ever given about this subject so i just pass on the knowledge.[IMG]

BTW I know of a great FREE porn site.[IMG] (don't go blowing up my PM with messages now.[IMG]

Esteban, no problemo on using that post. Feel free all you want to use it. Anything to help out all the others. [IMG]

This is the reason I wanted to do this write-up. Too many threads asking "can I" and etc. Figured if a write-up could be done, everyone can just direct the person asking to this article on the "tech" pages.
