The guy I bought my 73 K5 from hacked the dash pretty good installing the stereo. When I decided to do a frame off resto I went ahead and cut the entire dash out. I'm 6'6 and I never liked kicking roll cage down tubes on my way in and out of 4X's so with the dash out I can move the front down tubes 4-5" forward. For a dash I'm planning on using a 8-9" piece of stainless bolted to the downtube/cross bar. In my mind it looks pretty trick but I'm wondering if anyone has ever made a Blazer dash like this or may have some pics. For a heater I'll put in a Mojave, and install a full set of Autometers or VDOs.

Do a search. There have been lots of posts about custom dashes in the past.
