I have an '86 Blazer and want to make it nice looking. I already have 38" Swampers, and a killer V8 motor with about 400hp. Right now it is white, but I am looking for paint scheme ideas. i don't want anything to busy but something that looks nice. Any ideas.

Get it painted so it looks like it just crawled out of a mud bog...[IMG]

that's more my husbands speed. He likes the mud on the truck. I have to drive this thing on a daily basis. I need something that looks decent. i'm thinking a real deep purple with some yellow graphics.

[IMG] Oops I thought you were pureinsanity. Had to look at that twice!

Deep purple with yellow graphics would be cool, I'm not much of a paint guy though. I'll be happy enough when mine is back to one color...

I'm not pureinsanity, I am his wife. He doesn't know that I am here yet. He'll find out when he gets home from work. Help me keep the secret til he figures it out on his own.

Mine came factory baby blue metalic. I'm really considering going (I know, and can already hear the moans) canary yellow...

I love that look. Either that or I'll go back to the factory color.

umm....go back to the factory color.

I can't decide on lt slate metalic blue and white with factory bumpers or all white with black custom bumpers.

I personally like olive drab green or jungle camo . . . but I'm a guy so ya never know. Purple/yellow sounds good (maybe some flames or something hehe)

I dunno why.... maybe I'm crazy... but after seeing the pics earlier today and w/ 38's I'd say paint it hot pink! LOL... I'm serious... I have no idea why I think a hot pink Blazer w/ 38's is cool? Ok who's the K5 Shrink... ??? I've officially lost it [IMG] ... but for a little less feminime color... I've always been a fan of a nice silver color.

ROTFLMAO... Hmmm never seen one before... maybe that is why. I get tired of seeing the same old stuff... Of course I never have been insecure about my masculinity LOL... My old mustang had some aquablue and hot pink custom script of the side LOL. [IMG] Actually I'd never do it to mine... a truck needs a more conservative color... I like bright yellow and that neon-ish lime green too... not on a blazer though... while I'm halucinating does anyone make glow-in-the-dark neon green paint? [IMG]

I have always had this idea about painting my blazer white with a really cool deep blues colored flames coming off the front. I can see it now.

If you paint it yellow, then call it Big Bird.

    Useyourbinker:
....and do you miss your mustang? How are you sure you have come to terms with your masculinity?

Some of you may rag me for this one!!! I have a 98 Z28 that is "Mystical Teal Green." After owning this car, i have come to like the "color changing effect" and have thought about painting the Jimmy with a similar paint. I really like the ones that change colors better.

I'l be painting mine a deep plum red with pearl in it so it changes colors with different angles / light and I'll have a black top with a "taz" air brushed on the hood

if I got back to the factory color I would 2 tone it... the metalic light blue and metalic white... not sure how I would work that out though.

If I did yellow I would paint the inside of the truck as well so I would be all through out. I don't know if I want to spend the extra $$$ to do that...

That color changing paint is not cheap & you would be bummed if you scratched it . At the moment it sounds as though that Liner polyurethane paint is sounding pretty indestructable & in lots of different colors too .
