Is there some way to identify the transfer case. Either by the design or markings on the case or maybe a code on the glove box door? I have a 88 K5(rusty donor truck) with TBI 350 and automatic. I am pulling out my SM465 / NP205 from my 1970 K5 and swaping in the TBI 350 700r4 and transfer case. I want to know if its a 208 or 241. Besides lower gearing are there any differences? Is one better then the other?
