idle problem

    Sometimes when Im idleing my truck dies. B4 it does it usually kindof sounds like its gonna die but then revs back up where it should b. It kind of goes put put and then dies unless I give it some gas. Is there anyway I can ix this? O yea its an 87 K5.

    Are they carburated? Could it be the choke kicking in?

    Check for vacuum leaks first. But hooking up a scanner and looking at the data coming from the TPS would show you if the TPS is flaky. If the signal from the TPS is jumping around, then the ECM gets confused and can't keep the engine running at idle.

    thats what mine does it bogs down and if i dont push the gas pedal it will die. Its not that big a deal cause I can keep it from dieing but its kind of annoying when it does.
