    Re: Moab, post your pictures

    Top...........
I'm back and had the best time! As soon as we get some pictures back, I'll post them. If you have never been there, you need to go! This place kicked butt.[IMG]
The 1st day we hooked up with one of the guys from CK5 and had a great time. watched some metal bending, axle breaking fools out there (thats right buddy, if you can't make it just give it some more gas!) The next two day's we hooked up with some local boy's and really had some fun. The K5 kicked butt and I was really impressed with the work and parts I had got installed ( Thanks ORD !). We made it back tonight and didn't break a thing, even with the 10 bolts! Yeeeee Haaaaaa!
If anyone else made it, post some coments and pictures.
I can't wait to see them. Like I said, we had a great time and never even went on one of there *eep trail rides. A thanks has to go out to the red rock 4-wheelers club for getting it together. [IMG] THANKS [IMG]

Second that, I plan to go next year .
Every year I have planned to go, something broke, trans/t-case/u-joint/drive-shaft. It's like clock work. I make plans and then... snap-pop and clank. Not again. Covering all my bases next year!

    cool pics, looks fun!

Have a couple of friends that just got back. They went with a couple of Catvee's and a jeep on 44's.

    One of their highlights

They did Hell's Revenge in Roger's Jeep. All was well till they came to "The escalator" and ROLLED IT. Once over nicely... Blew both 44's off the rims. No major damage. With the help of about 25 onlookers and a hi-lift, they managed to get it off the rock wall, and then with a strap, and a winch, flip it over. Then everyone left, and Roger and Tim had to take the plugs out, and re-seat two boggers on a 25 degree incline. They had Cheryl in the truck the whole time standing on the brake, AND had the spare tire under the rear wheel to keep it from rolling down the hill. After a couple hours, they got it together, and drove out.

    lgk5,
let me know! I'm heading to Florida on the 1st and don't know if I can get away with it. Needless to say I've been letting everything go to work on the K5. I think my wife will kill me but what the hell, I'll try. Tell Tony and the family Hi !. I'll shoot you some more pictures as soon as I can.

Everyone else, bring on the pictures!!!!!

    Re: Pictures

Just got back last night. Got a chance to run some new trails this year, Rusty Nail, Lower Heldorado, and Upper Heldorado. Also ram part of Golden Spike, Moab Rim, Kane Creek. TwistedAxle.com was shooting Lower Heldorado, and we 4X Extreme Video Magazine shot Rusty Nail and Upper Heldorado. We hooked up with the Avalanche guys on a few of the runs.

Casualties for the week included the rear driveshaft on my Brother's '70, two front axle shafts in a Samurai, two broken leaf springs on a CJ7, one missing u-joint cap in my front CV, some overheating probs. with the SuperSami, one rollover each for the CJ and the Sami, and plenty of BD (mostly on mine). We got video of me sledgehammering my rocker panels after the water fall on Upper.

Been wanting to check my trans and PS fluid for 3-4 days, but can't open the hood. Think I'm gonna ditch the OE latch and go with pins.

It is in Utah and you get 12 demerits from the K5 gods for not knowing that.
