if my blazer has the trailer package...

    will it most likly have the 3.73 gears?..cuase i dont have the info sticker on the inside of the glove box so im not sure...its an 84. all stock.

    No, not necessarily.

    My old '84 Blazer had the trailer package and it had 2.73 gears. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

    mine has 3.08 gears and a trailer package. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif damn. wish i had at least 3.42. lol. later. btw mines an 85.

    ok cause my parts 85..has the 3.73 gears..so it says in the glove box anyway and that has the trailer package..my truck (my 84) has 31's ands i have no clue what gears..but i havnt even drivin the thing cuase ive bene working on it getting it running since april when i bought the damn thing so..HAHA

    My 89 had a tow package (factory, I think) and 3.42s. Lift a tire and rotate it 1 complete turn and count the number of times the drive shaft revolves (including best guess at last partial turn) then divide by 2 (assuming an open rear end). If it's locked or posi'd lift both rear tires and then just count the turns. If you're not sure exactly how far it goes on the last turn, you can usually SWAG it and you'll be close enough to figure the ratio (3.06, 3.42, or 3.73).
