what would it have?

I need ideas cause im building one when I graduate college and ditch the intern checks for the real deal (lets just hope I dont find a serious woman to suck me dry b4 hand).

here it is...
502
np205/203 doubler
would my current sm465 work with it?
8in" suspension w/ stephans coils in front
custom shock towers in rear w/ shackle flip
1" body
dual 2.5 ton rockwells
44" boggers
and i would prolly build it on a 73' to bypass all the CA smog crap.

69-72 on a Unimog 404 frame and running gear with the tried and true 350 TPI.

I don't need no damn shop manual, I got a pornographic memory.

Well, first off my dream K5 would be two K5's because one wouldnt work, I would want one for street and one for trail.

Street:
1972 with 350 ram jet, 5 spd, NP205, Dana60 front and rear with coil suspension 5:13 gears full cage with updated interior, 3-4" lift with 35" SSR's and pretty paint job.

Trail:
1990 with 502 ram jet Th475, 203/205 doubler, shaved 14 bolt/dana60 5:13 gears, full convert with custom cage and narrowed 12", 42" Swampers, coil suspension, some kind of link setup in the rear (not sure on this one yet) and big ass CK5 sticker on the hood, you know like the Warn ones. Plus tons of other stuff not mentioned or thought of yet.

I've got my body mods and cage about like I'd want in my dream k5....it's perfect for what I intend to do with it. Now I just wish I could afford my dream drivetrain:

Rockwells f/r with detroits f/r
Hydro hy steer custom
8" 4 link front/rear custom coils and locating bars
Disc brakes at all 4 corners
42" swampers, grooved, on MRT 36 bolt beadlocks
502 Fuel Injected Big block
NV4500 with forged gears
Klune-V crawl box
NP205 with forged gears and beefed
Jesse's extreme drivelines with 1410 joints
Custom boxed frame
and 30mpg.

hahahahahahhahahaha......let the lottery winning begin!

465-doubler
highangle CV shafts for and aft
shaved 14-60 w/ 5.13 and detroits

full cage inside (just in case)
leather and power interior from a new truck
and A/C

Hmmmm.... My dream K5....

How about one with all the rust repair/rustproofing already done?

Then progressively done myself on an '86+ shell:

D60/14ff w/my current rims in 8-lug
38"'s
4L80
TPI 454
New, perfect condition interior and body/paint (gotta keep the wife interested in the beginning)
On-board air
Electric fans
high powered alt
a rack of lights on the top (I do too much at night to have only stock!)
custom front and rear bumpers that resemble stock, but hold a front reciever and a full brushguard protecting the 89-91 nose...
A gas guage

Lots more, but I'm at work and gotta get back to pretending to do something...

LIke Burt, I have been building mine for a while - but heres the specs and what else I want..........

406TPI motor with electric fans, 4 core radiator, AC, Cruise Control, Power Windows, Power Locks, Tilt, Intermittent Wipers, killer Fosgate stereo, Flofit seats, map lights, etc.
Bulletproof T350 (yeah, a T400 is stronger, but I've never blown up a 350 so it stays)
Dana 60 with Detroit
14BFF with Detroit (and drum brakes, again they're staying [IMG])
WANT LIST -
NP205/203 doubler (have a 203 right now, and am happy with it for now)
Cross over steering
Dual batteries

Then figure out new ways to get more out of my motor........[IMG]..........like cold air induction a la Ken Brown............love his setup...........then buy an SEC bumper to replace the Warn Classic Chrome.

And there will be plenty more stuff after you lunatics give me more ideas [IMG].........lol.

I'm pretty much there I think. I might link up the rear, and it needs some serious sheetmetal work to fit better, but the mechanical stuff is pretty much there. I'd like some more sound insulation and AC for the interior, and maybe a stereo. That way I could drive it on the road on 37-38" radials. Maybe a 3rd door for getting the kids in and out? Maybe a flatbed instead.

69 or 70 body w/ full cage, cowl induction hood, rhino lined interior, good cb, kicka$$ stereo, good seats, the big arb fridge/freezer mounted in back, 60 in front 14ff in rear w/ arb's and 4.10's or 4.56's so it will cruise down the road , discs all around with a hydroboost system, 4" lift w/ shackle flip in the rear[maybe a 6"], 1" body lift, cross over steering w/ a rock ram assist, 36 or 37" boggers on 15x10 or 16x10 black steelies[havent decided on the 15 or 16's yet], built 500 caddy w/ injection, nv4500 and a 203/205 doubler to make up for the higher gears, dual batteries, welder, high amp alt and a york compresser under the hood, warn 8274 up front on a custom bumper, big hydraulic winch mounted in the rear bumper driven off the 205 pto port, probably paint it black primer so i wont worry about scratches, kind of a compremise not really hardcore rockcrawler but i could drive it to and from the trail or work in comfort, when i win the powerball i'll get started on it[IMG]

Sounds good, and if I know you as well as I think I do Bob, you won't need to win the Power Ball to get it. Just think, you will probably have all that and I won't even have air cleaners for my Tunnel Ram still.... =0....LOL

I think my dream 73-87 would be a K30 single wheel crewcab shortbox (homemade). Add NV 4500, port injectecd 500+ horse big block, ARB front, Detroit rear, 8" lift, 1" body, 38" Swampers, Weld wheels, a cage, and a really nice paint job. Then go beat the snot out of it. Probably use 4.88 gears.
