What would it be? All of the Fabbing is done on my wheeling rig, so now's the time for some K-5 loven. What would you do if you had the tools? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

So far I'm going to build a new rear tube bumper, and possibly a cage. I'll have to do the rocker crap 1st though along with new body bushings/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I would like to fab some off-road light mounting brakcets that attach where the front fenders attach and stand up in front of the A-Pillar or, maybe even bolt into the A-Pillar on a 1st gen

I would also like to fab a light bar that will attach to the A-Pillar of a first gen that wouldnt interfere with the top coming on/off

I would love to fab troop seats to replace my bench seat in the back. They'd run along the bed rails facing inward and be designed so that the butt and back cushion frames could slide on a track down towards the center of the bed in order for them to lay flat and create an elevated space to throw an inflatable mattress and sleep with about a foot tall space underneath for gear. Whole thing would lock/release into/out of the upright or flat position with cotter pins. Unfortunately I don't have:

    A) a welding rig
    B) welding skills
    C) basic knowledge of engineering
    D) money to acquire A or time to acquire B/C,

and about a million other things I want to do to my K5 before I can realistically attempt to get started with such a project. But hey- a guy can dream, right?
