What would you do if you had unlimited amounts of cash to spend on your rig? I know what I'd do:

    Ram Jet 502
    TCI 700R4
    ORD Doubler
    Front Dynatrac Pro-rock D60 w/ARB
    Rear shaved D70 w/ARB
    8" BDS
    38" TSL
    Rockram steering

    I think I'd be set! /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif

    <font color="green"> Unlimited funds and you'd run a 700r4? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

    Cummins High Output Diesel
    NV5600
    Avalanche High Mark axles
    Tube chassis
    link suspension with 48" coilovers
Minimum of 44" tires, probably 52s. Suspension would sit low enough at rest that the truck would be no higher than it was with 6" and 38s.

    And lots of other stuff...

I'd be swapping in a Duramax with the allison trans, run it to a doubler and then down to the ground on some unimog axles. Tires... I'd have a different set of 44's for each different type of wheeling

Buy a house with a big shop with all the right toys like a JD2 with hydro and then buy a Rag top Unimog 416 and swap out the engine to a bigger turbo deisel and make it a four seater.

hmm, seems that my likes are a little different than most. Keep in mind this is for my all round use truck, my trail only rig would have 48" XML's and unimog axles, other than that my truck would consist of:

Link and coil suspension front and rear, 18"-22" of travel up front, somewhere around 22"-30" out back. Ride height would be about equivalent to a regular pickup with a 6" lift and 36" tires.

Boxed frame from front to behind transfer cases.
Rear axle would be a Chrisman unit with track width of about 68-70 inches and have hollow 2" 40 spline gun-drilled axles, auto locker (i.e. detroit).

Front would be a good Dana 60 with chromo shafts and an ARB, custom trussing to housing and knuckles. 35 spline hub to hub.
Ratios front and rear: approx 5:13's.

Motor: strong running and smooth idleing aluminum big block and alum heads and intake, around 540 CID, around 525 HP NA, with a variable nitrous system for a max of a 800HP burst possible.

Tranny: Built as it gets 4L80E.

Transfercase: Probably just keep the 205. I'd like something lighter and a a little lower, but oh well.

    Steering: probablly full hydrallic.

Body: fiberglass hood and fenders, tube doors for the summer, factory for the winter. ditch the bed and cut the rear of the frame off about where the current spring hangers are. Have a aluminum diamondplate flatbed that goes from back of cab and tapers from behind the rear wheels to the end of the frame.

A front bumper like Butch is working on, the pre-runner type. Tube cage from behind the cab on the flatbed , down the windshield pillars, split one support to the frame just below the firewall, one along the top of the fender to tie to the front bumper.

60 gallon fuel cell mounted as far back as possible.

Wheels and tires: I'm thinking some 16.5-10 Aluminum Trail Ready beadlocks, and 38-15.50R16.5 swamper TSL radials.

Oh yeah, some plush captain chairs maybe something similar to what Benz and BMW have in thier flagship cars.

Big ARB refridgerated cooler just behind the cab, well secured and stocked of course.

Some rock slider rocker panels, full skid plate of 3/8ths aluminum.

I think that would pretty much do it.

I'd leave my truck like it sits, then every person that pulls out in front of me, cuts me off, or just doesn't drive the speed limit, would get to experience the wrath of their car being totaled at 5 mph from my big honkin bumper. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Well... I would have to say a 1936 Suburban body on an 89 Sub frame with the above mentioned 48" coilovers and 4 link suspension supporting front and rear steering unimog axles. Have the rear axle converted to dually wheels. Running at least 44" tires. Have a thumpin 502 BBC with a turbo charger and a 400 HP shot of NOS /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif breathin through a custom made snorkel. That would be followed by a 4l80e tranny and then a ORD doubled T-case then 1 ton axles. It would exhale through a custom dual 3 1/2" exhaust with high rise tailpipes. It would have an internal role cage that followes the contoures of the body and a cargo rack on the top made of the same tubing as the cage so that if it roled the body would not get caved in and the rack wouldnt get crushed . It would have lights everywher on the rack. The interior would be completely modern with bucket seats all around. It would have a Tuffy center console between the front buckets and an ARB fridge between the middle buckets. I think that about rounds out all the basic stuff. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
