I\'m a lazy bastard... doubler pricing

Hey Stephen, can you give me a price for a full kit to do a doubler on my truck? It's a 78 with a 465 and 205 in it, I'd like to do the doubler with all 35 spline guts. If I could get a price for a kit that retains the stock front and rear output spline counts so I can just modify the lengths on my driveshafts, and then a price for if I go all out with 35 spline outputs too, that would be great. This is of course assuming that I provide the 203 range box. I'd like to have the 205 clocked up for clearance as well. Thanks!

Shaggy,

I also know of this guy (We'll call him Fred) who has a zero-mile ORD built 203 just taking up space....

If it turns out that you need a 203, you might be able to save some $$$ over new, and pick it up locally. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

OK, but i stil need to make my 10 spline 465 connect to the 32 spline input on the 203. I think I may have seen that price around somewhere...

Re: I\'m a lazy bastard... doubler pricing

OK, here it is:
Doubler: $740
Input conversion: $200 (converts the 205 to 32 spline)
3 stick shifter: $250 (the conversion is $95 if you already have a 2 stick)
Output shafts vary but around $120 is about right.

Mating to the 465 involves a couple decisions:
factory 465/203 adapter vs. factory 465/208 adapter
10spline shaft vs. 32 spline shaft

We do have a couple of 465/203 adapters available right now. They're running about $185.00
We also have the 10 spline input gears for $155 (same for 32 spline input gear also)
32 spline shorty output shafts for the 465 run $220

After this point, it may be easier to call and we can sort it out then.

I'm not really planning on doing this any time real soon, hopefully next year some time. I need to get some seat time in first to see what I should do first, it's between the doubler and revamping the suspension since it's to damn stiff. Either way I'll be buying some stuff from you though.

Thanks for the pricing, that gives me a pretty good idea. I'll start keeping my eyes peeled for a 465-203 or a 465-208 adaptor. It sounds like the 208 one would be the way to go to get the full 32 spline internals. It looks like after I get that and the 203 range box I'm still looking at $2k plus tax and shipping, which is a bit more than I was planning on, but ya gotta pay to play. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks for breaking it down for me! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
