    Re: I\'m a newbie...

I live in Buckhead. Also, regarding my trucks. I've got a '98 two door 4wd (of course!) Tahoe as the daily driver and I just bought a beater '73 K5 from the wife of a deceased old friend. She's about to retire as was trying to clear some room in the yard. $300 and it hasn't run it about ten years. Should be fun! I'm thinking 4" lift, take the doors off, 35" or so BFG MTs and a roll cage. To start, of course. There is never an end in sight!

I was thinking about heading to Beasley Knob near Blairsville in a few weeks or so. We scouted it in my friend's Land Rover Disco and it looked like a lot of fun. We had to turn around 'cause we had to get back /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif.

If anyone around Atlanta would like to come out, we'll be at Coyote Ugly on E. Paces Ferry tonight from about 9 until ?? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif.

    Thanks for the welcome!

    Stu

So basicly you want the truck to look JUST LIKE THIS? maybe a different color though and not my wife driving it.

Yep, that's about what I had in mind. (Minus your wife, of course).

    Hehe

When you go to Beasley stay off 233 without a winch. That's the trail that people roll on a LOT.

2 weeks ago a guy is a VERY built jeep on 1 ton gear endoed then rolled something like 5 times. 14 bolt ripped free and went flying into the woods.

Southern Jeeps (despite the Jeep part great bunch of folks) hosted the event. Couldn't find pictures as it acttuly rolled. Supose to be a video of it bot don't know if it's loaded to the net. PLEASE don't log in here and be an idiot. Some of these folks are friends and this club is one of the good ones that is very active and helps maintaining a couple of the GA OHV's.

Here is a link to the post wit hthe pictures. Dial upfolks need not apply.
