Only this time the teachers can't tell me what to do. Actually they can, but its more like them asking me if they need something.

Right now, as temporary maintenance supervisor, I'm eating a candy bar and reading "School Bus Magazine". :cool1:

When I was in grade school, we had a maintenance guy named Jesse. Two things. He always had 5 to 600 keys jingling on a key ring, anything less would be a shame, and two, he always showed us his pencil holder everytime he walked by. Both of these are plusses for accelerating in your field. (Take with a smile, I was a janitor, not maintenance man, for about 4 years). But I always worked at night, so I could pretty much get away with murder.

I only have 41 keys to carry around. I have 27 keys on my everyday personal key ring, so it's nothing out of the ordinary in my book. No pencil holder though.

I got my first task besides fixing two vacuum cleaners and putting up a sun shade; that was to call this lady and arrange to pick up some backdrop panels for a musical. Both numbers I was given are incorrect or disconnected. So much for that simple task.

Luckily, I don't have to be responsible for janitorial duties. There was report of an overflowing toilet, but I was gone getting overhead projector lightbulbs, and by the time I got back, someone else must have unclogged it.

And the extra bonus is no kids have thrown up yet.
