At least I think it is rti...

What angle do I make it at and how long should it be.. final height....

Anyone have any measurements? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Generally they are 23 degree. But you could probably get away with a 30 degree because your flexy. Just remember to double check your measurements. I thought i was making a 30 degree and it ended up being 37 or something. The way to do it is first figure out what degree you want it to be. Then you can either work on the hieght or the length of it.

length use cos(angle) / (length) = (inline legth)
height use sin(angle) / (height) = (incline length)
    Then use pothagoriums theorum a^2 + b^2 = c^2; where c is the hypotunuse(inclune length).

NOTE: take into the effect the size of the metal used and measure from either the inside or the outside or the tubing and be consistant with it (what i f***ed up on)

Ok got to thinking again and you can base it off of a 3 - 4 - 5 right triangle. It would be a 30, 60 , 90 degree. But double the lengths. So your sides would be 6' x 8' x 10'. That should give you more than enough room.

Good luck with the ramp. Show us pics when you get it done.

Aaron, Better Off Road in Oak Harbor has one. The dude that owns the place is cool. Maybe come over and make a sketch of it, dimensions and stuff. Later Jeff

I made mine 20 degrees and 12' long. I can max that so I am going to make it adjustable from 25-30 degrees. If I had it to do over again I would just make it 30 degrees.
