All by myself...
Shhhh....don't wake the dust mites....they're sleeping
Hey asshole, I'm here.
I need to sleep.
Well alrighty then. That woke me up!
I just made a post in the Garage. ~Sigh~
Sleeeep would be good, I wish I could sleep....
Sleep is totally overrated.
You..you meant underated, right?
Ryoken in the lounge...
Fun being an insomniac... well part-time anyway... I'm actually on my way down to work on the truck till the stores open up... need to run out for shrinktube, wire and connectors.. West Marine here I come!
Ahh...wiring supplies. Been my life for the past year.
I just re-ordered some stuff. My wife tells me it came yesterday.
1" shrink tube was on the list for my winch terminals.
Us old people do not sleep, why do you think we are cranky all the time?
How much custom you figure your running in that all told?
Hate going to a retail place for supplies.. Forgot to get it thru work this week.. I need shrinky female spades for 10 g, and I'm hoping I can get some long lengths of shrink tube, 1/2 to 1...
Gonna put another order in to Waytek this week... grommets, maybe some flame retardent sleeving...
I'd love your imput on my wiring system as I complete it... The battery stuff was easy. Now I get involved in changing over the fuse box to my custom breaker box, fun...
Ahhhhhhhhh!!!! I just realized I teched the Lounge!!!
My apologies to the lizzards...
Well, if you count all the crap I bought that I didn't use, close to $2000 in electrical. Every inch of wire and every single terminal is new though. And Special stuff is winch feeds front/back, ARB solenoids, off-road lights, rear flood light, dome override, 2 amps in back (1 sub 1 mains), 500w Inverter/Charger with external inlet and custom wired remote control panel, engine block heater, elec. radiator fans, a few very unique security built ins, on..and on..and on....
If, when I'm done, I pulled it all out (not gonna happen, just an if case), and duplicated it, probably $700 or so in costs. But I'm completely stocked in
1) packard terminal & housings parts bin,
2) solder sleeve generic terminal parts bin,
3) Carling Tech Contura Switches
4) SXL wire, 18,16,14,12,10, 8ga in red,black,yellow,brown,blue,white,green
5) GXL 2ga & 6ga
6) 350amp quick connect housings and terminals (The winch type connectors)
7) Shrink tube
8) countless other small parts, battery terminals, Packard relays..etc
Actually, I've thought about pulling it all out and duplicating it and trying to sell it, but it's rather customized.
I made my own rack for wire and parts bins for all the little parts. All nice and organized, labeled with re-order numbers and source.
I order from Delcity.net all the time. Watek is good, but their minimum quantites are kinda of brutal for certain things, like wire, min 500'. If you want alot of colors, 500' of each spool get's pricey.
Breaker box, really? I used aircraft Potter&Brumfield toggle breakers, no fuse box. Well, I have maxifuses for the huge stuff and main feeds to the cab, but in the cab is all breakers.
taking it to pm
TECH in the Lounge!!
Gross.... nearly choked on my coffee seeing that
A wise decision.
Eh, it's wiring tech at that, give ya a damn headache in the morn anyway!
*damn, coffees cold!*
Its easier to drink like a shot once it gets cold. Its just a delivery vehicle for caffeine either way. I drink "cold coffee" all year -
ugh... ya know its funny... I'm a freakin coffee fiend... but I cannot drink it cold.. gives me the heaves..
haha, but i have had coffee ice cream on occasion, go figure....
caffiene don't do ch*t to me anymore.. actually i drink decaf anyway.. but i can drink a 20 oz of leaded at midnght and go to sleep...
Cooooofffffffeeeeeeeeeeeee neeeeeeddddd mmooooorrrreeeeeeee
