    it can't hurt.

Some prayers from those so inclined would be appreciated.

My uncle has just been admitted to the hospital for a liver and pancreas transplant due to complications from diabetes. Prayers for him to recover and for the family of the young man who so graciously donated the organs seem appropriate.

    Thanks guys.

Thanks guys. Still haven't heard how it went, last I heard last night was they were checking the organs just prior to opening my Uncle up. The donor was in his late twenties but apparently obese so they wanted to make sure the organs were OK.

I will post up as soon as I hear anything.

Heard back a little while ago; he is in recovery, off the ventilator, and talking to my aunt. Everything looks good for now.

On a side note, I found out today that the new pancreas would more than likely cure his diabetes forever.

That's awesome. It is great when something really good can come out of something bad. And yes, I am a registered organ donor.
