    I\'m seriously pathetic...

    ok guys...

every since I lowered JMT I've had some drive line vibration, and I finally got an angle finder. well I got the shims, and put them in today no big deal right? (BTW it is so nice to be able to drive 75 on the highway again [IMG])

well I pulled a muscle on the left side of my chest torquing the ubolts so bad that I about died when I picked up an empty food tray at burger king! [IMG] LOL (BTW I am a person accustom to pain)

looks like I need to start lifting weights again when this heals so I can strengthen my connective tissues too.

I have a charlie horse in my left arm putting in my rear add aleaf and front 8" springs. torqueing to a 150 ft lbs is abitch especially when you torque so hard you break your torque wrench flyingto the fenfer well as it breaks and put a huge knot of a bruise on your bicep. So no you are not pathetic

man I feel pathetic. I torqued all the bolts, and retorqued the front while I was at it. I didn't even feel it for about 2 hours, and all of a sudden it hit me! [IMG][IMG] LOL

i few days ago a jackstand feel on my thumb and every groove coming down ripped a bigger gash in my thumb. that was pretty painful.

That's what you get for using a torque wrench.

I used a 6' long pipe on a breaker bar. I haven't had any problems.

I laos doing this lift smashed my left pinky. hitting the spring in place with a dead blow ammer it slipped off and the handle pinched my finger in between the brake drum. It hurt but i didnt think it was that bad. Took off the mechanics glove and it went squirt all over the place. fingers go SQUIRT when you crush them hmmmm didnt know that. So what does dummy do he wants to wash out the dirty injury i put it under running warm water and um everything got a bit fuzzy.

So how exactly do you accurately determine torque values with such cutting edge tools like your 6 foot bar? What do you use for head bolts...a 3/4 impact?

Rene, I was thinking the same thing.

For my injury story - About a week ago, I got the soldering gun out to fix some wiring on the k20 and as I was about to finish, an ambulance came charging down the street and distracted me. I promptly grabbed the soldering gun and burned the hell out of my middle finger and thumb. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but burning flesh really stinks.
Luckily I got my wife to bring home some silver sulfadiazine cream and the burn is healing pretty well.

round here we measure in grunts...things like wheel lugs are 2-3 grunts.....a body mount bolt is about 6 grunts and so on....but the science to it is that a different bar will use different grunts....with a six foot breaker bar 1 grunt is really 7 so then we go to half grunts. its really technical and wouldn t want to bore anybody anymore [IMG]

1/4 grunt is only useful on a screw driver, and a flat head only. on a philips we use 2/9 of a grunt. and moaningbelongs nowhere but in bed [IMG]
