I have a test in exactly 8.5 hours and I don't know the first thing about this subject matter...

I have to write an outline for the test based on any one of these questions... Someone know SOMETHING about one of these???

    1. Describe the type of government that emerged in England Scotland and Wales as a result of the English civil War and the Glorious Revolution. Who held the power and how was it excersized? Irealand had a different experience as a result of these events. Discuss how and why the Civil War andGlorious revolution created a power dynamic between Enlgand and Ireland that exists into the present.

Oh my god this is so much typing, and I know it's useless because none of you bums will know any of this. Ok one more...

    2. Examine the factors that supported and spurred the growth of the empire during this period of british history (1640-1840). Describe britains participation in the slave trade and slavery and the ways these were reconciled to britains new discourse of virtue and morality. Also look at britains increasing invovlement inIndia that culminated in the india act of 1784. What is the significance of the impeachemnt proceedings against warren hastings in this regard?

If nothing else, you can at least feel my pain... :screwy:

    1. Well Im not much on My British History (more in to U.S.) but here goes.
Basicly Britain was ruled by By the "crown" before Their civil war. Afterwords the King/Queen was limited to a figure head like what You see today. Running the goverment/country was taken over by the House of Commons and Prime Minister which are not people of nobility. So basicly the people were tired of being ruled by a single person and changed it to a democracy in which the could vote a goverment in and out of office. They still have a Queen but it's just for show and tradition. As far as the rest of #1 Im not gonna go that far:whistle:
    2. Good Lord! that would take forever to explain:eek1: I can sum it up real easy like by saying that the growth was due in most part to the Royal Navy. With out it they would have never became a world power or expanded Their empire. The rest of that question is just to fuzzy in My mind at this point and I cant remember why and who it was that did a 180 on slavery and started to combat it. As for India that never did float My boat:grin:
Most of Your history can be answerd with a good old encylopedia. Now I know why I always liked US history.

Wow Corey I definitely didn't expect anyone to take the time in the middle of the night to actually answer an involved history question!

    Thanks :thumb:

Oh Yeah the History International channel has a lot of good info on British history of that period but most of it is on late at night. My Wife hates it but I will watch just about anything that has something to do with history. I guess I can't let go of wanting to be a history teacher when I was younger.

I told my wife, but Honey, MY Disneyland is Johnson Valley. She didn't buy it.
    So I'm going to Anaheim.
