Anyone know any good ways to improve circulation? Seems all of my limbs are having a slightly increased tendency to falling asleep lately. A few weeks ago, I got in a position while watching TV and my hand fell asleep. I've always had a bad habit since I was little to just keep letting my limbs go numb. Kind of always enjoyed it. Well anyway, the time I am talking about, my pinky finger didn't wake the hell up for over 12 hours. Was numb when I got up the next morning. Just seems to me like my circualtion must be lacking a little bit.

I meant to add, besides taking aspirin all the time. If that is my best option I will start doing it, but I'd rather not.

Dont smoke, not sure if you do or not...Diet is a contributing factor. Drinking thins blood some...

Asprin is a cheap, easy, affective way to go...

Beer thins the blood. At least that is my excuse.

What you are describing is neurological, NOT a circulation concern.

What CDA said. Get x-rays of your cervical spine. Bet you have something out at C4-C7.

same for me. ok guess its not circulation then.

Don't smoke, so nothing there. Drink beer but not often enough I guess, haha.

Maybe I will make a trip to the doctor if it gets worse.

If you have insurance, get it taken care of quick. Nerves are nothing to fock around with, once they are damaged, they may become permanatly damaged. It is so much easier to go see the doc. Unless he says oh yeah "you have cubital tunnel syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome and may have a pinched nerve in your neck that is causeing you shoulder problems.

Not to contradict people that may be in the medical industry here, but I'm pretty sure numbing extremity stuff is many times related to poor circulation... It was in my case....

*start of hijack* I'm a nurse, but for the last 20+ years or so have been a business consultant for physicians (with my share of chiros as clients here and there).

As a bonus I've managed to do a fair bit of neuro-muscular damage to myself and so keep up with what's happening in the field. Got spinal x-rays the other day and radiology report just arrived to the office. I'll get a copy in the next day or so, but had it read to me. It's kinda ugly. Going to try to fix enough of it to ski and board next season. Here's hoping.

Are you a chiropractor? If so, you should be paid for your medical info...*end of hijack*

I was an E.M.T. before moving to Idaho. I now work in an E.R. (The other side of the fence!).
I've been in E.M.S. going on 20 years.
