    Hello everyone,

I have noticed lately, a good amount of tension, and communication confusion, particularly related to spelling issues.
I therefore, humbly suggest the addition of a spelling checker that would help resolve such tensions, and promote a one for all platform on which we can discuss K5s instead of analyzing accademic background. So if you agree, please sign up, as I am sure that CK5 administrators will love the extra work for such a just cause.
    Thank you

I'm for it if it doesn't significantly effect the servers current performance. Spell checking for every user on every post would be great if you could pass the cpu burden on to the end user, but having it done centrally might bog things down.

bah, weee doh neeeed noo stinkin' spell checker! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif I know I spell a lot of words wacky just for fun. Like, using "shiznit" instead of [censored].... or just common internet abbreviations like IMO, AFAIK, LOL etc etc. I havent noticed a lot of confusion over mispellings... maybe thats just me tho,

Not needed here. Seems like everyone here actually received an education. Now if one could be implemented at work............ You'd think that some of these people never graduated high school.

Those individuals that are in dire need of a spell checker can simply use an external word processing program to check for spelling mistakes. Cut and paste, cut and paste...

This is a forum, with lots of different personalities and backgrounds, not an academic venue. Further burdening Steve's already taxed servers is unnecessary...

I’m against it, usually the people with better grammatical spelling are more knowledgeable overall and I am more trusting with their information than say from the knuckleheads who don’t know the (you're/ your) (our/are) (right/write) and the basics of spelling. So I want to know how knowledgeable and well informed the information I am reading is.

Lots of folks in England would probably disagree with you. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif Words like center vs. centre, check vs. cheque, etc. will trip up an "English" spell checker, depending on the version of "English" dictionary that you tell it to use. /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

At the risk of being politically incorrect ( I hope)...I offer this response:

The Brits were wrong in the 1700's and are still wrong today!

    LOL /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

There are various language selections in Word that are available for regional considerations...
