The title says it all... I need a new engine lift, and I only have $200-300 to spend.

I'm actually doing a side job, and the dude it going to buy it as part of the dealeo. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

There is a Harbor Freight like 10 minutes from my work! So I wouldnt even have to pay freight on it! The sales are still good in the retail stores, aren't they? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Think they will stock these bad boys there?

    I'm so excited!!!

It's not a internet add.. It gets mailed to me.. The is a store about 25 minutes from my house. This add came with a $5.00 coupon for anything over $30.00 And actual on page 2 it says Prices effective in our retail stores only. But the stores listed are all western.. CA,AZ,ID,NV,OR,UT AND WA. So it might be a western USA sale.. I'd print the add I scanned and take it in to them and see??

yeah if you can afford one thats hydraulic, get it...
i used to have one that was cable operated, had a winch at one end...
it sucked, i mean i cant complain because it worked, but even a just a new 350 was a little too much for it, the cable kept shifting and itd drop the engine an inch or so, never so much as scratched the engine, but it was scary getting that thing up high...
i didnt have the money for a hydraulic one at the time, so i sold the cable one as soon as the engine was in, i'll never use one again...

Jack up the truck really high under a tree and put a chain around engine, undo motor mounts, wires, etc., lower truck

If you do this, you will also never get robbed as long as that motor is swinging from the tree...
