The guy I was talking with the other day said the 6.2 is not ment to have a turbo. The motor will not last as long. Any of you ever hear of this? Mike

In stock form yes, you can get lower compression pistons which will help a little. The block and heads just werent made to take a lot of power like a turbo would provide.

It is true, it's wasn't made for turbo.
But it looks like when they built it they did a good job in the safety margin since all these people are putting the turbo on them and the only thing that is failing is the rear main seal and that changed no other problems are being reported.
Now for longevity, I'd rather have a nice healthy turbo diesel for 250k miles than a stock slow NA for 400k miles.
    But that is me.
Also remember that Banks is a well respected manufacturer and they actually designed the stock turbo for the 6.5 and they made the kit for the 6.2l, do you think they don't have enough R&D done before releasing this kit on the market?
Now when you have a tired engine I would advise you put the lower compression pistons when you rebuild it for a turbo, but if you have a good running engine and you want more ooomf go for the turbo and worry later.
