The movers came and took all our belongings away today. We are staying in the house until Tuesday to get it cleaned before we move out. It is very empty. OUr furniture consists of 1 chair, 2 air mattresses, 1 tv and the computer. Everything else here is cleaning supplies or clothes/
I think when we get to NC it's gonna be the same way until our stuff gets delivered.
OR: my pregnant wife beats me to death until I pay for a motel

Tile floor thoughout the house. No sock skating yet. Floors are too dirty :tongue1: Parts of it I haven't seen for 4 years. Then you add 2 cats and 1 dog hair everywhere it makes a big mess

Aw, one of the pleasures of military life. The move every 4 years or so. I know what a pain it is to clear base housing, you got a lot of work ahead:frown1: Glad to hear it's finally coming. You have been looking forward to this for a while. Oh ya, and quit being so cheap and get your poor wife a hotel:grin:

Screw the hotel..we're both cheap asses :D The cleaning won't be a big deal. They aren't moving anyone else into this housing area. In another1-2 years it will all be low income housing. What does that say about the place I live in

At least you have utilities, right? Electricity, water, etc.

Years ago I shared a house with a friend. I found another place by myself. All the utilities were in my name so when I transfered them to the new place, I had to terminate the service in the old place. Well - my bud hadn't closed on his house yet - so he lived there for an entire MONTH with NO working utilities! NO electricity ... NO water ... NO heat. Did I mention it was February?

Talk about "camping out inside"!! :screwy:

Oh yeah, all utilities are on. Good ole uncle sam leaves the lights on for me :usaflag:

I'm gonna miss not having to pay utility bills once we own our own house
