Who can help me out with info on a 307? Not a 305. The is the long stroke little bore 307, basically a stroked 283.

Any info would be GREATLY appreciated. Mainly looking for people that either have built them or have any info that I could look up and read about them.

    Thanks

BTW, I don't want to hear anything about just build a 350, I've got one of those too, I'm just playing with some other stuff now /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

307 is essentially a 283 with a 327 crank. They are notorious for having soft blocks that are wore out at 60-70K. That is about all I know about them /forums/images/icons/smile.gif.

That's better than nothing. I've got one with about 20k original sitting in my garage now. The wheels are turning all over again. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I have a 307 it is bored over differnt crank slight cam and it is a good running motor. It needs a differnt cam because it has alot of high end power and alright low end power but it worked great I rebuilt it with 143,000 miles on it.

When Chevy first introdused the 307 the moto was power of an 8 economy of a 6 but it was more like power of a 6 economy of an 8.
