I finally got the info from the ranger at Mi-wok. He thinks we should adopt The Sierra Grand stand Tour. It is a 13 mile stretch.. It doesn't sound that bad..It is a trail that runs along the top of some ridges with great views.. I have never been on it. It does end up down by Long Barn...We will discuss this at Blazer-Fest also..Dan

I think before voting on a subject like that we should have a club run on the trail.

I agree with the fact that we should run the trail first to see if we want to adopt it. It maybe worse than you think! Gotta see it first hand before you say YES!

Who cares how or what kind of condition the trail is in? Isn't the idea of adopting a trail to do maintenance(sp?) and to clean the up the trail? Why would you want to "pick an easy one". Kind of defeats the purpose. Besides a 13 mile trail sounds killer, actually the whole package sounds good.
