Hi, does anybody know what the stock initial ignition timing is supposed to be on an 89 TBI 350?

    Thanks!

Should be set to 0* while the computer advance is disconnected. There's a brown 1 wire disconnect near the brake booster on the firewall. That has to be disconnected when setting the timing. There should be a sticker on the radiator/grille support when you open the hood that has all the info on it.

It is set at 0*. Before you set it look for a brown or tan wire with a black stripe (IIRC). It is usually found above the passanger side head on the firewall just sticking out of the loom. It will have a connector. Undo the connector! This tells the ECM that you are setting the timing (basically).

Just remember to hook the wire back up when your done.
