Colorado has no annual inspection as far as safety or mechanical. The only inspection they have is emissions if it is registered in an area that it is required. Pretty much the front range. Fort Collins south to Pueblo last I knew. But definately no safety inspection. When you switch from out of state they do require a Vin Check but any officer can do that and all they normally check is public vin on dash or door and Federal label also on door post.

to keep a vehicle registered in anether state you have to prove residency im pretty sure.when i lived in cali in the army i had to sign paperwork that i was just there for work to have the truck registered there without having residency or a california licence.
