Nobody can possibly beat this deal. The following I installed in the General Saturday for FREE!!!

    Here's the rundown,
D60: new 4.56 gears & carrier, lockrite, new hubs, 35-spline outers, Warn premiums, Rock Stomper rock rod, recently installed king pin kit, new rotors & calipers, GLO beefy cover

14b FF: 4.56 gears, Detroit, GLO beefy cover, DIY Guardsman

The tires and wheels are pretty self-explanatory. 40" tall of course!

Maybe we should call it the General Valdez. The back already smells like gear oil!

Hopefully a certain someone will log in and fill in the details on the origins of these fine pieces of equipment on my truck.

I don't know how Nick gets away with living in Boulder, he's a 5' 11" environmental disaster. :haha:

When the ladies ask him to lube it, he just runs outside and gets some off the yoke.

    :haha:

What Scott failed to mention in his triumphant post was that later that night I aquired the entire truck for FREE :haha:

Ok...for anyone who is incredibly confused

-My axles are currently under Scotts truck
-I am currently driving Scotts truck around
-Soon I will have my 79 up and running
-I sold the axles in the 79 to Scott
-So for a little while he will be driving around on my axles and I will be driving around on his :p:
-Eventually everything will get sorted out and my axles will be back under my truck (my 79...the 90 no longer exists) and And Scotts axles will be under his.

    :waytogo:

Since Nick won't chime in, I'll tell the story with my spin on it.

I sold the 1/2ton axles to sganje here on CK5. Nick needed to drive the General while we build his '79. So this weekend Nick decided to donate his axles to me so that he's rolling around on his own junk in the General. Now the longer I take to help on the '79 is the longer I get to roll around on built 1-ton axles!

Thanks! Nick has been getting a lot of comments on my truck while driving it around Boulder. Hoots from girls even! Wonder why I never get those when I'm driving it?
