The idea behind this is to keep the current TH400 in the burb and throw a 205 behind it on a custom crossmember, but the question is, does a ford front bolt into chevy springs? what about track width. I need an advertising rig and this little cherokee doesn't cut it,LMAO

Yep, the Ford front axle bolts onto the GM springs easily. Same width of perch holes as the other.

My buddy built a Ford with 1 ton GM axles and the front bolted right up. He used a Dodge remote, or divorced, 205 to make the GM front work.

Leave yourself some room behind the TH400 so that you can hang a t/c off of it. That gives you one heck of a PTO as well as a doubler.
