So what can be interchanged between these years as in the way of parts Like dash's, body panels, tail gates, grilles, interior panels?

My reference would be an LMC truck catalog. If you're not familiar with 'em, order a free catalog @ http://www.lmctruck.com

The hardtops were full convertible (windsheild to the rear) from 69-75 so anything dealing with the roof isn't interchangable. They also changed the grilles a few times in the 80s. For example, you can swap a newer grille onto a full-convertible and confuse everybody (who knows blazers anyway). The interior panels should be compatible and the dashes stayed mostly the same. I've also seen a few older trucks outfited with power tailgate windows.

Basically the interchange is:

'73-'80
Fenders, hood, doors (trimmed for 73-75 full top), most interior, Grilles, radiator supports, inner fenders, etc..

'81 - '91
Radiator supports, Hoods, Fenders, grilles, doors (same as previous) inner fenders, interior.

Tops will interchange from '76-'91. '73-'75 are full top.

You can change '73 - '80 to the '81-'91 front clips with some work. I am doing an article on this site for the Grille upgrade to an '89-'91. You can also change an '81-'91 to the earlier grille.

What are your specific interchange questions. I am sure some of us can answer them.

There's not a cross reference table but as you look at items, it'll list a range of years that the part/item fits. Example: foot pedeals, '73 all by itself, then 74-84, then 85-87 (mine's the 73-87 truck/blazer catalog).

Tailgates are the same from '73-'91. Electric or not.
