I've been calling around looking for a right fender and finally found one here in eastern NC. they started at $120 and I told them I could get a brand new one for that much...then slowly they lowered the price to $60. sounds fair to me but what do you all think? It's off of an 89 burb. 90 is when they introduced the double galvanized sheet metal...so I was hoping to find 90 or 91 skin...worth it? $60 is not a lot but should I go new or be a little more longsuffering and get a 90 or 91?

take it for $60 and run I own a 74 and a new OEM fender is $525 and you can't find them in a junk yard, the ones i can find look like swiss cheese. But OEM fenders a alot cheaper for a 90 or 91, but $60 bucks sounds better than $120. and stay away from those cheap fenders from korea they are thin and don't fit very well.

Wow things must have changed in the last few years. I put one G.M. fender from the dealer ($75) and one aftermarket fender ($70) back in 1994 on my 75K5. The aftermarket one actually fit better than my G.M. one did, go figure.

Whoa, front fenders aren't that much. Gold said it. Dealer is around $75. And I know JCW sells repro ones for like $50 one sale or $60 on the usual. With that said, I bought a used one for $40, and it was in good shape.

if the paint color matchs then yeah but if not why try to save money when it is going to take time and more money to make it match when for just a little more than the $60 you can get one ready to paint.. of course if you blazer already has the representation of every color offered by gm in 18 years it made blazers i say go for it...

There are quite a few aftermarket fender manufacturers out there. Mine were made in the USA...fit real well and cost about $45 new. They had some minor shipping damage that I didn't care about.

Beater dude...find another dealer! You might try talking to one of the parts guys in person, I find you get much better pricing that way.

okay i know it's alot but I'm just say'n thats what a brand new fender from GM that fits a 74 costs and in many catalogs you'll see listed OEM fenders for $525 and repo fenders for $75, I'm not say'n i would ever spend that much, It's just that if anybody can find a salvaged fender for any year for $60 it's a good deal

$60? No way! WAY WAY WAY too much! Go to JC Whitney and get a brand new one for that.

Or visit their store in LaSalle, Illinois and get one on a Saturday when they have the yard sale. Usually a fender and inner fender together will run you about $20 there, brand new.
