Could I put a 700R trans in my Blazer and keep my NP203 T-case? What would I need to modify to get these two to bolt together?

Advance Adapters makes the parts you need to do this. Check out http://www.advanceadapters.com/BUYERSGUIDE/acrobat/gm.pdf.

You'll need the tailshaft the fits the 203 ($170 from Advanced Adaptors, also fits the 205) and you'll need to lengthen the side torque strut, shorten the rear drive shaft and lengthen the front drive shaft (about 1 and 3/8"). You may also have to modify the hole in the floor pan where the shifter goes (otherwise you won't get 4-hi). Also the crossmember will have to be moved back and new holes drilled. The steering column (1981 and earlier) will have to be swapped out for a 1982 or later model, unless you don't ever forsee using D1. Other than that, it's a piece of cake.

May I suggest a NP208 transfer case ?
If you really must have the NP203 go for it, I don't know your appliction/use, but the NP203 is getting
old, and the chain will strecht/wear out, someday, even if you just rebuilt it.
Its kinda heavy !
