Mexico has all kinds of different chevy's..they have had the 4 door s-10 for years. I belive the item you showed is based on the mailbu chassis..only thing is it is a RWD car and has a v-8 as an option...So the luck of it coming here is not likely. It has something to do with emissions too. I know one of the car mags went to Austrialia and got the same car it had a LT-1 in it..just not legal in the US[IMG] be alot more fun then these little 3.1 or 3.8 v-6 front wheel things.

For a while, you could get a Ram charger in Mexico that was sorta like a tahoe, but a dodge...basically a full size durango. Also, I remember seeing a '97 ford F150 that was the '86 body style. Weird....

thats either the Chevy ElCamino, or the Chevy LUV, both of which are unibody trucks, they still sell in mexico. about time this issue came back up again. we Americans aren;t the only demographic that people design cars for... in Mexico, they design them by different standards, for different people. according to one of my friends on the 73-87 chevy truck list, he visited the VW plant down in mexico, where you could see the all new 2001 Americah beetle ( the ugly one they sell here) rolling off the lines, right next to the all nee 2001 mexican beetle ( the one that hasn't changed much since it was concieved in 193x) the original rear engine, rearwheeldrive aircooled bug. its truly interesting to goto the international sites off of the GM main page... the truck you're looking at in that picture is actually listed as an `auto' as opposed to a camiones (truck) and called `the pickup' the Chevy Japan site openly admits that Suzuki's is isuzu's is chevy's, and have some rather interesting vehicle lineups, including the old S-10 blazer before they renamed it to the Trailblazer, which they also still sell. has the same basic lineup we have, which is kinda boring, except the steering wheels on the wrong side in some countries. GM China will probably take forever to load for everyone who isn't in china ( myself included: I gave up) The Sprint want a Caprice? just goto the middle east, and pick one up...

enough of that for now... try going to the GM site and see allthe wackey brands that are owned by GM, like Holden in austrailia, Opel, and vauxhall.
