Is it bad that I'm hooked on a kids toy.

I seem to recall that the full-size one in TTC at some point had an approach angle of like 100 degrees, i.e. MORE than straight-nose-down! :eek1:

Actually, I think your course there could be an ideal practice ground for picking good lines, etc ... and it's a lot easier to "trailer" that rig home if you break something :haha: ... wish I had one of those, just to train my buddies as potential co-drivers!

Me WANT one!! Cheapest way to get into rockcrawling! I've already got a good course too at my parent's house. Just drive the thing along on my mom's rock garden. It's really big since my mom became an avid rock collector when she stopped smoking.

I love that toy. Santa brought one to Tommy. We've played with it to the point that I'm gonna take it back as the rear gear is stripped. I think it should last longer than a day.

Anywho's it is a fun little toy and pretty damn capable for a twenty dollar truck.

"Santa" :D got my son and daughter each one for Christmas. I'll say one thing, your course looks much easier than the one we built. I assume our course must be something like the Hammers, 'cause ain't noboby gettin' through it:eek1: . Those things are cool as heck.

there is a park not far from my house that has about a 1/4 mile rock bed creak that has no water in it ever. i took my son there Tuesday for the first time with his Jeep, it was awsome! the perfect dry rock creak to play in, lots of not so big rocks in it, thing crawls great. have not broke it yet but i know its going to happen. ohwell i will just fix it and run it. you just dont want to put it into a bind til the gear box starts to slip. im making new hi clearence skid plates for my sons :D . stock ones sucks, they hang up on stuff easy. will have some pics later forgot my camera this time. i WILL be buying myself one ....................SOON!

I have the exact same RC scorpion. Its pretty dang fun to drive around the yard... over logs and rocks and ledges and stuff. Wife figured it would be "up and running" more than my K5 ever would be... lol!

If you don't like the scorpion-look and want to maximize performance, 4 screws remove the entire "body" leaving just the battery compartment and axles.
