run w/out doors? I finally installed my removable hing pins the week before I left. I cannot find any information about running w/out doors. I don't plan on running without them around town, but I also don't want to get hassled on my way to a trail.

I havent had my doors on since the end of June and I have never been hasseld. I drive mine around town and down to the coast and have never had a problem. all I know is that you cant have your feet haging out of the truck. I have heard of jeep guys getting tickets for that.

I heard someplace (so it is just hearsay) you needed to have a ridge or a bar down by your feet so they won't hang out. That is why Jeep doors are just above the floor boards. Also why people install the fiberglass things on old broncos in place of doors. My understanding is if you put a cage in and run some bars down by your feet, it is legal.

That's what I would like to do, but I don't have any doors to cut up. That is another one of my "winter projects" /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif this year.

Anybody have any extra doors they don't want? Preferably with the hinge pieces on them? Hey Kennyw...you always have stuff like this laying around!! LOL!!

A friend of mine in Central Oregon has a beat up 2wd parts truck... Drivers door is missing but pass side is still on the truck. I can probably get you something cheap from him or possibly the scrap steel yard I go to that only crushes vehicles...

I will keep an eye out incase I come across another beat up set of doors for you.

I believe legally you are supposed to have a raised lip off the floor, but I don't think it is very well inforced. Or you could just bolt/weld a chunk of 1" angle along the door opening to solve the problem.
You have to have 2 rear view facing mirrors...so one on the window and on at least 1 A-Pillar and you should be good to go.

good call on the raised lip on the floor... think u r sposed to have one. Shouldnt be to hard to replace the little rocker sill plate thing with some angle iron tho... wouldnt even need to drill new holes in the body.
