Not to Bust yer balls there but I see this layout for the posts going backwards....I liked the layout for the page b4-- this layout is to cryptic for my eyes.. I l;iked the way it was B4---I know it must be better for the server but this eems to be going backwards---does anyone feel this? I wish we could just keep the pages looking the same for a few years--thjen change it.. I loved the layout prior to 2001 ---why keep changing it? I mean our local newspaper doesn't change the print every so often as often as you doCOLORADOK5

    Whats the diff?

Before you bitch about the new lay-out maybe you should learn to use it. Go to edit personal profile and look at the "display preferences."

I kinda like the new car smell. When I first saw the new format I couldnt read what I was typing so all by myself I changed the background the blue and it worked like a charm. I'm kinda proud of myself for that.

You have to understand that as the site grows with more and more members the site has to be updated. When you host a website you are never satisfied with the way it looks or feels, so you are constantly looking into new enhancements to improve the look and manuverability (big word of the day) of the site.

The site had to be updated, if you take a look around the net and compared CK5 to other like sites, you would see that it was very outdated, I believe the new look is easier to read and looks a lot better. I created a default stylesheet in both small and large font that is very easy to read (ck5stlylesheet), but each person can still change it using a few other options. As far as newspapers go, there isn't much you can do with them being they are 90 percent text anyway.

The new ck5 is alot better. It has more options of things to do. I can understand if you don't like change, because I don't either. But this site kicks. So go change your diaper and just learn to use it.

At first, I saw the new format and didn't really like it, but then I got used to it, and realized all of the new features Steve added, and he did a really good job, and I like it a lot better than before.

    Nope - its just you...

You should use the Feedback Forum to express your opinions. But, while were here - Do you think Bill Gates says "Lets keep things the same". Dont think so. You should commend Steve for his efforts. There are plenty of forums out there that "Stay the same" and they are calling your name.

I really like the new set-up. I do wish I could change the color of the titles for posts I've looked at. The different color schemes are good but I'm color blind (for some colors) and really have to work at figuring out what they say. It's one of the problems that "normal" people don't need to deal with.

man, if you dont like this new change, you should have heard the whining when we first went to www. threads from the old short list board. It was like night and day, but we complained anyway. But, as usual, Steve knew what he was doing and we all realized that the new was better. give it a chance.
