Is it the rear end or t-case?

When I'm driving I can let of the gas and there is this grinding sound. When I push on the gas again it kind of slams but doesn't grind. People have said it's the rear end and it did it when I still had the 10 bolt in it. Now I have a 14FF and it still does it. One day it just started and I don't know what it is or where it is coming from. I'm probably going to drop some 4.88's soon, so I'm going to have the bearings and stuff checked/replaced too. Thanks
