    well saterday I bought a ranger, with a 4 banger and a 5 speed,

but I have had my eye on this and i can have it out right after trading the ranger, the jeep and a tiny amount of cash,

it has 11,00 miles, a v6 and a 5 speed, paint is 3 months old, new interior ect..

the truck was a theft recovery so thats why its cheap, but I am getting it from a personal friends body shop and I saw it before his employees worked on it.

I think the gas milage wont be that bad, I drove it all yesterday and today I have to drive a hundred miles or so. I should be able to get an idea on the gas mpg today.

it just seems to nice for me, but I dunno

:dunno: That I consider to be an insult to truckdom. The famed Cadillac wreath does not belong IMHO on the front of a pickup, even if that is just an Escalade front clip and interior grafted onto a Silverado.

im already am driving it and like the v-6, it moves just fine surprisingly

I exspected it to be gutless and slow but its really not, it makes my 4 banger ranger feel like a piece of bird crap on my windshield of life..

they run great, but i would much rather have the 4.8 v-8, your not gaining much in terms of fuel economy either. I just think you will notice once you load the back down with axles or tires you will definately notice it, where as the v-8 will do much better and easier.

It really doesnt take much to make the 2.3 turbo run well. I had an 83 t-bird that had about $1000 worth of mods, and was my daily driver (18-20mpg city and 32 on the hiway) it ran 13.2 at 103 very consistantly and ran 12 flat at 112 mph on a 75 shot. Didnt have too much stuff done to it, ported factory head, a roller cam, ported intake, ported exhaust, 3" exhaust system, intercooler from a grand national and a computer out of a later 88 turbocoupe. I ran 24psi on 93 pump gas. the car made 273rwhp and 342ftlb. it was a very fun car, wish I didnt sell it for a 4door family car  Anyways if anyone wants info on 2.3t cars or swaps, you can check out turboford.org. Oh I am now building a 77 mgb with a 2.3t 5spd and alot more mods than my t-bird had :D

    SORRY FOR THE HIJACK
