I am planning on lifting my 84 6.2 diesel blazer. I was looking at lift kits and I noticed on several websites they say that the body lift kit wont fit deisel models. I thought they were the same. If not what is different about them and were can i get a body lift kit for the deisel?

I have always wondered the same thing. I had an 82 Suburban diesel and noticed that it never included diesels. The only thing I could think of is maybe they have some extra motor related stuff that would be in the way if you did a body lift. Anyone got any insight to this mystery?

I have been looking into this as well and have the same question. The only thing I can think of is the hose going to the hydraboost might not be long enough and is not included in the kit. But you could get a longer hose from NAPA.

Have you found out the difference? In your swap are you keeping the hydroboost or going to vaccuum assist?

FWIW, all '85/86 C/K5 body mounts are identical. So if the companies say the body lift won't work on diesels, it has to be something else.

Probably the lines from the hydroboost "master cylinder" won't reach or something.

Body lifts won't work on new Diesels because of the intercooler piping. If you can make that work, a body lift will work fine.

The orange Dodge on the front cover of Four Wheeler magazine this month has a 3" body on it. They must have made it work.

When did they start intercooling them? Some GM turbo cars didn't start until 1986 (GN) I never thought about that for the diesels, but were the 6.2's even intercooled?

Unless it's aftermarket, it ain't got a intercooler. Very few Banks Turbos were optioned on Blazers. Even the ones with the Banks tubos were not intercooled.

My 6.2 wasn't turbo'd let alone intercooled. I had the plain jane gutless version. The only thing I could think of is the hydroboost and possibly the fuel pump or tank.
